At the turn of the century, this steel bridge between Manhattan and The Bronx attracted strollers with baby carriages for an afternoon walk. The view over the Harlem River was peaceful and only horses competed for space on the bridge. In our own day, the vista is considerably less attractive and few would care to push a baby carriage in this vicinity. Nevertheless, the bridge still brings fans to and from Yankee games.
